Hello sportsmen,
If we haven’t met yet, my name is Colt Koester. I live just outside of Westfield, PA, and over the past year I’ve pursued something that’s always interested me—taxidermy.
After a lot of prayer and consideration, I decided to take the next step. Through some research, I have recently attended the Western Pennsylvania School of Taxidermy (with Owner/Operator Marc Jordan of Jordans Taxidermy located in Punxsutawney, PA). During that time, I gained valuable knowledge and professional skills from an instructor who has 30+ years in the art. While at WPST I found that my desire is to strive and preserve each piece as close to the real thing as possible.

Each Animal has its own special abilities and unique characteristics that make it stand apart from each other, even among similar species. As a Taxidermist my goal is to get the details correct, from each eye to each feather pattern, right down to the colors and scales of each fish. As a sportsman myself, and my love for wildlife, taxidermy has changed the way I look at everything in the woods, Including the way I handle my trophies after each harvest.
I would like to say a big thank-you to Marc and Sean. I will be forever grateful for the time that I spent a WPST. Marc is a fantastic teacher, instructor and Mentor. I look forward to using the skills he has taught me in my own career.
